Music for the Heartland
Our Family Concerts offer a FREE immersive experience into the magical wonder of music!
Treat your family to an unforgettable afternoon with classical concerts conducted for children of all ages. These FREE 50-minute concerts by the NGSO are not only fun, but are a way to spark your kids’ lifelong interest in the joy of live symphony music and playing a classical instrument.
These performances are designed for families with children ages 4-12, but are enjoyable for all.

Join Maestro Russel C. Mikkelson and the NGSO as they perform one of the greatest works for narrator and orchestra. This symphonic fairytale will thrill children young and old. Join the musicians as they introduce you to Peter, the wolf, a bird, and a duck. This marvelous composition by Sergei Prokofiev will bring your imagination to life.
