The concert will feature George Gershwin’s Piano Concerto in F Major, performed by internationally acclaimed pianist Dr. Caroline Hong. The NGSO will also highlight the world premiere of Un Baiser, composed by Ben Shirley, whose clarinet quintet, High Sierra Sonata, is on the 2024 ®GRAMMY Award nominated "American Stories" record by Pacifica Quartet and Anthony McGill. Un Baiser features vocal soloist Shawna Corder. The program concludes with Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8, a joyful and lyrical tribute to nature and folk heritage—a perfect finale for a season grounded in discovery and connection.
